The weather might be a bit dreich but our growing season is already well underway thanks to our wonderful Keder Greenhouse. 

We have now signed up to the SME Climate Commitment, pledging to halve our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2040.

For the 12 days of COP26 we shared 12 ways in which we're working toward a greener future.

Bringing a passion for bikes and beer together, our latest can release celebrates the stoke and hard earned sweat from a day in the saddle: MTBeer. Championing the untamed outdoors, it highlights some of the things we care about – nature, independence and sustainability.

Fin Barge is an artist from Loch Fyne, in Argyll and Bute. He’s put his skills to work using eco paints on our brewery shop walls, bringing all aspects of Black Isle together within one organic message. We’re delighted to win this year’s Highlands and Islands ‘Best Brewed’ at this year’s Highlands and Islands Food and Drink awards.

In early 2017, we brewed 23 Trees, a Citra Saison in memory of the 23 ancient broad-leaf trees needlessly cut down next to our organic farm. Together with this beer, we also planted 200 new trees – to support the wildlife that depend on them for survival.

Lauren Mercer Smail joined us a WOOF’er back in October 2014 to find out about life at the brewery and our organic farm. Whilst with us, she shared her artistic talents and created an incredible mural of wild, Scottish animals that now line the brewery walls.

Coming together with Poppels Bryggeri’s brewery from Sweden, we created a big, bold beast of stout, which came to life as Systems Theory. Not content with just one beer, we used it as base for our new barrel aged series: East and West Coast.

Muckmedden’s Eliminator Mountain Bike Festival had us head south, to the bonnie banks of Fife for the second in the series.

Across the sea, our trading history inextricably links us to Scandinavia.
