This is a strong ale aged in Douro red wine barrels (Portuguese wine, for the uninitiated) and “Bélgica” is Portuguese for Belgium. We admit we’ve been more imaginative in the past with our beer names, but at 5pm on a cold Tuesday in January in the office above the malt store, this came up trumps.
