From Seedlings to Vegetable Patch: Potting On & Planting Out

In this workshop you will learn how to recognise when seedlings are ready to pot on, choose the right compost and containers, handle young plants carefully and provide the conditions they need to grow strong and healthy. You will also find out how to harden off plants, prepare your vegetable beds and plant out successfully, whether you are growing outdoors, in raised beds or in a polytunnel.

We will cover the techniques that help prevent common problems and give your vegetables the best possible start.

Suitable for beginners and anyone looking to improve their vegetable-growing skills.Includes organic tea, coffee and cake*.

Arrive 9.30am for 10am start - 1pm. Meet in the Workshop Classroom (ask for directions at Black Isle Brewery shop if unable to find).
