Finn Crockett Partnership

We’re delighted to introduce our new partnership with Finn Crockett; local lad, long-time Black Isle fan and as of last year, a Commonwealth Games medal winner in road cycling at the tender age of 23.

Finn grew up in Strathpeffer and got to know the Black Isle through his cycling and interest in the outdoors. His love of cycling started when watching the ‘Strathpuffer’ 24 hour mountain bike race, one of many of its kind in the Highlands, which is known for its world class trails.

This got him hooked and he subsequently rode the ‘Strathpuffer-Lite’, a 12 hour version of the same race. From there he never looked back, working his way up to riding on the road and eventually, success at last year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Finn’s outlook is very closely aligned with the Black Isle ethos - he wants to promote the importance of local community, good food and drink and enjoying everything that an active, outdoor lifestyle has to offer.

Finn will be working with us on some exciting community events this year as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations…watch this space for more information on the Black Isle Brewery Sportive in September! Finn will be leading the crowd!*

Finally, here’s a reminder of Finn’s medal winning run at the Commonwealth Games - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/commonwealth-games/62458233

*As long as Finn’s competitive commitments don’t get in the way.
