Want to learn about our organic methods?
We are looking for local volunteers to join us as the growing season starts – If you are interested in sustainable farming we would like to invite you to the Black Isle Brewery farm where we’re growing organic produce for our bars and shop.
Our farm team are committed to agroforestry and no-dig techniques. We will show you the organic, agro-ecological and permaculture growing methods we use. You’ll get the chance to take part in exciting new research by the University of the Highlands and Islands into the benefits of working with nature to increase biodiversity. Coffee, tea and homemade cake are provided, and we’ll send you home with some fresh organic produce of your own to enjoy.
Tasks at this time of year include seed sowing, planting, no-dig bed building and preparation for the upcoming season.
So if you’ve got a Wednesday morning or afternoon free and would like to volunteer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Note: This volunteering opportunity is permitted under current agricultural work Covid-19 rules. The health of our volunteers and staff is paramount. Strict social distancing plus robust sanitation measures are in place.
