Export Scotch Ale 7.9%

This beer was devised as a bigger brother to our 6.2% Scotch Ale.  A nod to beers from Scotland's past; which would have been rich in colour, deep, sweet and fermented until extremely high in what was unmeasured alcohol; but given a modern twist with the fruity esters of our own house yeast and the addition of New World hops.  The finest organic malt brings a big hit of cinder toffee, figs and liquorice whilst the increased hop charges match the strength providing berry fruit and wood.  This beer tastes fantastic young and even better aged a year or two.

Enjoy sensibly because we don't brew a lot of it.

If you're thinking of matching this beer to something, think sticky toffee pudding (at least that's what Masterchef winner Tim Anderson thought and, frankly, we trust his judgement).
