Beer, Cheese & Tunes with Black Isle Brewery and Connage Dairy

We’ve teamed up with Connage Highland Dairy for an exciting new event. On Saturday 26 July we’re hosting an afternoon and evening of great beer, cheese and live music from bands including Dorec-a-belle, Esperi, Dr Wook and Douglas Scott.

From 12 noon ’til 9pm you’ll have the chance to meet the producers, learn how beer and cheese are made, eat the fabulous produce, sit on straw bales, and dance or relax while listening to music on the hayloft stage.

Beer, Cheese & Tunes

The special event will take place here at Black Isle Brewery, set in beautiful old farm buildings with wonderful views of the countryside, less than ten minutes drive from Inverness.

You can also attend an exclusive beer and cheese pairing sessions at 3pm and 5pm, with the chance to taste five of our finest beers, each with a complimentary cheese chosen by the Pantry. Jill Clark of Connage and Black Isle Brewery’s David Gladwin will guide you through the tasting. You can also take a tour of the brewery at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm visitors and see how our delicious beer is made.

The Cheese Pantry will be honing their culinary skills, serving up delicious raclette and hot cheese toasties from their special catering stall throughout the event.

Come rain or shine this will be a fantastic event for foodies, craft beer lovers and music enthusiasts. With tickets just £5, it’s a superb value day out.

Tickets will be available on the door.

Launch Day – Highland Gardens For Bees

Bee hives at Black Isle Brewery

Come along to the brewery this Saturday 28 June for the launch of Highland Gardens for Bees. The aim of our new initiative is to engage gardeners in the conservation of bees, to make existing gardens more bee friendly, and to design and create bee friendly gardens for members of our society. You can find out more here.

We’ve got an action-packed day planned, including…

  • Free guided tours of Old Allangrange gardens, as recently featured on BBC Scotland’s Beechgrove Garden, with Katy Malone of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust
  • BBQ – including lamb burgers made with lamb raised here on the farm
  • And there’ll be delicious Black Isle Beer, of course!
  • Plus you can become a member of Highland Gardens Bee Society and be in the draw to win a design for your very own bee garden.

Join us from 11AM – see you there!
